thanks, it runs good but the motor shakes like its misfiring or something, but all cylinders are firing.

 

finally took it out for a test drive tonight, it runs like crap, spits and sputters, and the check engine is flashing, any ideas?

 

Are you able to pull codes?

 

The check engine light flashes when you are in danger of burning up your catalyst. The ECU determines this by misfire logic. Fix your misfire and the flashing MIL will stop.

As to why it is misfiring? You have confirmed spark at all cylinders? plug wires crossed (that is kinda hard to mess up 3 wires)? Good fuel? Injectors all connected?

 

ill double check everything tonight, does anyone have a diagram of how the plugs wires go?

 

pretty sure it's 1 - 4, 3 - 6 and 5 - 2

 

yup thats what i have, so im getting sparks on all cylinders, and i just tested the fuel injectors they are all working, im stumped, could a bad or non adjusted tps cause a misfire? or venting the pcv?

 

fixed it i overlooked the wires, i had 2 plug wires crossed, runs great, thanks for the advice!

yeah its fun, ive never driven a 3.0 so i dont know how they compare, i just put a body lift in it, now time for the body work, its got the Michigan rust

 

Disconnect two cylinders...that will give you an idea what a 3.0 is like!

 

drove pretty good today although i didnt get on it still no muffler

does any one know how a cheap turbo muffler sounds on the 3.4, right know it has a flowmaster with 2.5 tubing, i really dont like the sound of it

 

The exhaust I used to pass inspection has a cheap glasspack on it and I think it sounds like exhaust coming out of ass. This exhaust only stayed on until I passed inspection and got my truck registered, but I hated every second I had to listen to it.

Now I'm running a Magnaflow and it sounds great. A nice throaty sound but not loud.

 

haha what size tube are you running?

 

2 1/4" tube. If I do get the TRD SC I'll probably wind up redoing the exhaust.
