2003 3.4 swap elec TB problem

Did a swap from a 2003 tundra 5-speed into a 91 toyota p/u. Not running the body harness at all only the motor harness. This motor is equiped with the fly-by-wire electronic throttle body. The issue im having is that when i connect the battery and start the vehical the first time the throttle body works perfect but after shutting it down and restarting it the throttle body only works at the last 20% of throttle. So from idle to full throttle is hardly any peddel at all and its almost to the floor before it engages. Disconnect the battery then reconnect the battery it works amazing the first time.

Thanks for any help.

Pull the codes. Sounds like it is throwing a code for the fly by wire system, on some codes the ecu has to see it twice before it will react to it - thus the second time you start it is when it goes into limp home mode.

Is there really a limp mode? Never heard of such a thing on toyota's only fords. Ill have my buddy come over with his toyota obdII scanner and check it out. Might just hook a relay up to the constant powers if i cant figure it out soon so we can at least test.
