From: Las Vegas.. Soon to be heading for south america in the 4R
Throttle Positioning Sensor replacement

jsut foudn out my smog was so high because of the TP sensor, does anyone hav experiance with these? can i replace it myself? what des a new one cost?
the mechanic wants like 250 to do it.. and i think that might be bull ลลลล..

any help greatly apreciated

I don't know about the price, I would guess not cheap. But replacing it is easy enough to do. It's a bit fiddly to adjust but it can be done.
I'm sure there's a write up on adjusting it on here somewhere.
