Well the time has come to replace these ole warped rotors with some fresh new ones. I was just wondering if anyone has a write-up on how to change rotors on a 3rd Gen. How difficult is the process?

 

 

There isn't much to write up. Remove the wheel, remove the two bolts holding the caliper on, remove the retaining, Phillips screw if so equipped, remove the rotor.

Installation is the reverse.

If you have an impact wrench for removing the lug nuts, the whole thing will take you less than ten minutes a wheel.

It's really not a big deal. A couple of caveat's come to mind 'though...
[list=1][*]Do not allow the caliper to hang from the brake line.[*]When the calipers are off, do not, under any circumstances step on the brake pedal... it will over extend the slave cylinders.[*]If the caliper doesn't want to fit back over the new rotor and you need to push the pistons back a bit, Push BOTH sides at the same time.[/list=1]

That should do you... but all in all it's a no brainer.
