I have a quick question about wax. I was wondering what is the best thing to use to get wax off of plastic? Because I accidentally got some on my fender flares and it will nt just rub off.

dawn, just dont get it on the parts you want to keep the wax on.

 

If it's been a while since I've washed I'll wash once with Dawn to strip off all the old stuff and it's generally pretty good at getting wax off of the unavoidables like the cladding.

One of our mods swears by peanutbutter so that might be worth trying to

 

I used to use tire shine on my jeeps faded plastic fenders....I found that it also did a good job of getting wax of them...

 

Yep, Mod Bob says peanut butter will remove wax from your textured flares.
We still can not get him to let us in though if it is regular or the chunky kind

Did you ever run into faded flares because of the tire shine? It seems like it would fade them pretty quickly...
