Pounding out pins
I want to take off my yellow Masterpull hook that is on my winch line and repaint it.
I can do it on the rig, but it requires a lot of masking off, and stuff.
Candido did his yellow hook to match his shackles.
I called Masterpull up and they said you need to take a center punch and whack the pin out.
For the life of me I can't get it to budge. I can turn it though.
I asked him how it stays in, and he says it's under pressure or something like that.
If I can get the pin out, I can have a sexy looking hook too that will match my shackles.
What's the secret to pounding these out? Do I need to drink more Geritol to get more strength
It did not budge a bit.
Perhaps if I was able to drive somewhere and reel out the line and stick it into a vise to hold it better?

Hmmm, maybe you need a bigger hammer Corey?
Too bad you weren't closer 'cuz I'm pretty sure my shop press would be able to press it out.
