P0172 Code on Check Engine Light

Got a check engine light 3 weeks ago, but the truck was running fine so I cleared it by disconnecting the ground and it went away.

Last week it came back - I cleared it again. I had planned to take the truck to the dealer anyway for a 4WD service & Tune up, so I took it in.

I told them about the light and to do the service, they called back saying they recommended a 3M thottle body cleaning ($160), a new PVC valve ($60) and a new fuel filter ($160) I said "bite me" and thta was that.

About 5 days later, the check engine light came back on. I went to autozone and got the code, a fuel filter, a PVC and a can of thottle body cleaner ($20) The code was P0172 - Bank one rich reading

I replaced the fuel filter (thanks to this site for great directions), replaced the PVC and cleaned the throttle body. The throttle body was extremely clean for 52,000 miles, I frequenty add Injector cleaner and use premium gas (but not always) Reset the CEL.

I'm guessing there may be 1 of three problems -
Clogged injector (clogged open) and dumping fuel
Bad O2 Sensor
Maf issues

What do you guys think and suggest as a plan of action?

TIA

Rook

use the search buton.
You will find that the majority of the the time, it is a dirty MAF sensor. Clean it, check you air filter, reset code.

I did a search - under that code and it had two threads, one was a list of the codes, the other was not very conclusive

As you can see by my original post that I thought the maf may be an issue, any ways I can narrow down the issue would be appreciated.

May have very well been the MAF - it was filthy. Cleaned it and it seems to be responding much better than before. I'll wait a week and see if the code comes back.
