ohms from signal generator...
my 86 4runner is hard to start when enigne is warm, but runs fine when the engine is cold. I was reading in a book that it may be the signal generator if the ohms are not between 140-180, and it read 190. SO im wondering if you guys think that i should replace it or if you think it may be something else? the dealership wants 93 so i dont wont to replace the part unless i know it will fix the problem. thaks for your help. -aaron

Replace the cold start injection time switch and replace the thermal switch. That should take care of it.

where did you find a signal generator. I have tried all the dealers up here in Ottawa and they will only sell the whole distributor at 500 + bucks. Mine is shot and I've been looking for one. Let me know so that I can figure how to get one sent up. Is yours for a v6? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
