gauge lights
my gauge lights do not respond and the fuse is not blown?????

Maybe the dimmer switch is done for? Not sure how to test it but check your local wrecking yard and you might pick one up for pretty cheap being thats the only way I would know to test it.

I installed a cd player and in after I was done I noticed my gauge dimmer would not work but the lights still worked just could not dim or brighten them and that was atleast two years ago.

Did you remove the entire dash assembly as I assume you did? I have taken that cover off and forgot to reattach the connector. Its only a few screws on those covers. Take it off and double check.
