I vaguely recall that it was. Worked out awesome too. One of the guys took it right after we were done and immediately claimed dibs for his toolbox

Yep, it was

As for the rope in the cylinder, I wouldn't, if the bolts are tight, you'll be putting undue stress on the rod and bearings.

i wouldn't think a couple hundred pounds of torque are going to affect an engine with forged rods. nylon rope has some give, it's not like you're filling the cylinder with rocks.

From a strength standpoint, I would tend to agree that your procedure shouldn't create more pressure on the piston/rod assy than it was designed to handle. But, IMHO, I get a queasy feeling when we start talking about stuffing something 'foreign' into the combustion chamber, when there are several fairly easy methods of blocking the flywheel when the trans is already removed.

Its sunny out, gives you an excuse to ride that new bike of yours!! Ask the parts store if they have a v6 flywheel, I think they are the same for 22re's after 92'. Good luck gettin it back together.

NO! you want a '93 or later 22RE flywheel if you want the bigger clutch. the V6 and 22R flywheels are VERY different animals.
