The other day the EGR tube (from the exhaust manifold to the valve) broke. for now i have put a plate on the exhaust manifold where the tube used to be. my question is can i leave it this way or will it cause problems? i will have to get an emission test soon, will i pass? i have no check engine light as of yet. in fact the light went out right before the tube broke

it's a '95 tacoma with the 3.4 v6
