Exclamation Doesnt Always Start Now

Got this truck about 3 months ago and ever since it has been a bit slow to start, turning over after a few seconds of rotating. It hasn't gotten worse but is now intermittently not starting. Symptoms: Turn the key, nothing; not even a click, just the springy feeling to the ignition as you turn it full tilt clockwise. I can try it a few times with the same thing happening and then all of a sudden it starts well. Quicker than usual. Been going on about 2 days now.

Am I looking at alarm (btw its aftermkt brand unknown), ignition, starter, fuel filter(?!?), grounding/connection problem somewhere? I know I can't ever figure it out from this desk chair but it would be nice to have starting point. Thanks people.

edit> okay, it does click. Still occuring. . . bump.

I would just take it to a reputable mechanic and see what they say.

aside from the click - it does sound like a battery problem...

did you install the alarm? Does it have a starter kill? I wonder if it's possible that could be your problem?

It has felt like the battery was going oput for a while but it was hard to say cuz I just got the truck. I will have it tested. If that isn't it I will look at the alarm. Thanks all. I wil keep this post informed.
