CE Light - Any info/advice?

Well, I finally got to Autozone and checked the code on my CE light. Here's what came up......

PO441 - EVAP Emmissions Control

This light came on a little while after I did the ISR Mod. For the ISR Mod on my rig, I used heavy duty SCH 80 PVC End Caps and ribbon style hose clamps, so I'm pretty much positive I don't have the vacuum leaks that some experienced because of warped end caps.
Does anyone have any idea what might cause this CEL code? Is this something I should be worried about? Thanx,

Brad

Did you reroute all the hoses to be stock per Christian's writeup?

I doubt you have a leak too but a hose could be hooked up incorrectly also to cause that.
Did you pull the ECU fuse after to reset the code and it came back?

Thanx for the response. However, I'm s/c'd so I only have one nipple installed in the large end cap for the power steering vacuum line. I only need this one as I am using Gadget's free-fmu Mod to maintain constant 50psi fuel pressure. I really have no idea what is causing this CE light, so any ideas would be appreciated........

The full code is "P0441 EVAP Control System - Improper Purge Flow" This can be from something as stupid as a bad gas cap seal to others (gas cap / Evaporative purge solenoid / Clogged purge line / Vacuum hose / Evaporative emission canister clogged , etc). This link will explain alot for you:

I still think that if it came on right after you changed the vauum lines then the purge line is not hooked up correctly somehow.

MTL_4runner - thanx

Thanx for the response - very informative stuff. I guess I'll be checking all my vacuum lines this w/e - I can't see it really be that Purge port since I never had to mess with that. Damn is that light annoying though...... Take it easy,
