Help with Brake overhaul
Well the other day I was driving down the street and I went to the stop and the pedal went straight to the floor. So I get home and look under the car while pushing the brake and low and behold there is fluid dripping over by the gas tank. Today I got under there and it's leaking from somewhere ontop of the tank. I'm not sure whether or not I should drop the tank and route the 2 new lines along the same route or should I just connect the new lines on the frame infront of the tank and route them along the underside of the body to the LSPV. Everything is severly rusted so I'm not sure I should even try taking the tank out. I soaked all the brake fittings in pentrating oil so tomorrow after work i'm gonna put on some new lines. I think it's cool that toyota put a union on each line on the frame but I dunno why they routed them in that manner. There is a severe build up of sand and what not between the tank and frame. Any tips on trying to undue those old rust lines without breaking them? Also does the top line on the frame rail go to the top line on the LSPV because i can't see the lines on top of the tank?
While i'm at it i'm gonna machine the rotors and drums and change the shoes on the back.
