2002 taco lube

can anyone tell me where the ball joint lube fittings are on a 2002 tacoma? In addition, what other areas need to be lubed, and where are the fittings located?

I think 4x4 wire has something like what you're looking for in their maintenance section.
Or was it TTORA?

I honestly don't remember. I printed it up and haven't used it for a while so I couldn't tell you.

Unless Taco is completely different from 02 Runner, the only zerk fittings are on drive shafts. 3 on front and 5 on rear. You can easily locate them at both ends of both shafts by turning the shafts by hand (rear wheels need to be off the ground to turn rear one).

For my 1998 Tacoma, the lube points are just as Erc said - on the driveshaft. I can't remember how many zirc fittings there are, but they are on the u-joints and slip yoke. Just inspect each joint for both front and rear drivelines (propeller shafts) and you will find them. I have sealed ball joints and sealed wheel bearings. I have just about 100K on them so far.

The Taco seems to be completely the same. I've searched the electronic
Toyota Service manuals for "grease fitting" and the only ones found are on
the drive shafts.

What type of grease do you use? I just got back from the parts store with
grease gun and tube of lithium "recommended for Jap. vehicals".

I've havn't ever done this type of lube yet on my Taco with 33K miles. I'm
a bit PO'd that the service guy at my dealership told me that there was
nothing to lube on my truck "it's all a sealed system", he said. This is the
same guy that told me that my truck "didn't have a propeller shaft" when
I enquired about torqueing it. Unfortunately at the time I didn't know
any better.
