1996 CV Halfaxle Issues

This past weekend I replaced both left and right side halfaxle assemblies, I used replacements from Checker, the install and removal of the old ones went smoothly other than two things:
1) I lost almost a quart of gear oil when the axles were out and for some bonhead reason I can't seem to find the fill plug for the diff, am I blid or is it just in a weird spot??
2) With the truck in 4wd if i turn right i get a squeek out of the right side, if i turn left i get a squeek out of the left side, WTF???
Any ideas would be really appreciated, i can't see anything rubbing but that is what it sounds like, TIA, Brad.

Hey Brad. Obviously, I got your PM as well but thought I'd bring this up to the top at the same time.

One of the members seems to have a good write-up on chaning the diff fluids. I say seems to as I have yet to do it myself. Anyway, there are pictures on it as well which will hopefully lead you in the right direction. Here's the write-up.

Unfortunately, I can't help on the squeaking issue.

So, you replaced the axle shafts in addition to the boots then? I really need to learn to do this myself should the need arise. And I'm sure it will. So, assuming you didn't take pictures, would you mind re-doing it all and do a thorough write-up on this?!

We'll talk to you later.

Darren, I may end up re-doing the repair, squeeks are like oil leaks, I just won't stand for them, Brad
