What starter? 4.3 with AA bellhousing
I was wondering what starter I need to get. 01 vortec 4.3 with Advanced Adapters bellhousing. The starter the Previous owner had on it (that broke) had been ground down quite a bit to fit in the bell housing.

auto or manual? Did you read the AA instructions? An automatic 168 tooth flexplate uses a staggered pattern starter, and a 153 tooth manual trans flywheel uses a straight across pattern starter.
