What headers work with a 350 engine w turbo 350 swap in an 85 toy 4x4 HELP!

I have an 85 Toyota 4x4 with a chevy 350 and turbo 350 already installed, as well the truck has a 4" suspension lift and 3" body lift. I need to know which headers to use in my install, I'd rather not use AA or northwest offroads headers. will block huggers work? what do I need to do, i'd rather not spend 300 bucks on a set of headers. HELP!

I would measure the space you have, and start calling places. No one i know of makes a header for a 350 chevy engine for a toyota truck.

I have a 350 in my 93 4runner and used the ones from Northwest, they are made to fit in the tiny area thats left. If you find some stock ones that work id like to know what they were.

Thanks,
Nathan

I bought a cheap pair of black block hugger headers on ebay for $75 shipped for my 350 swap. The engine is still on the stand so I don't4 know if they will fit for sure, but they should. I take that back. They WILL. I'll make them. Nothing a hammer cant fix. I'm ordering my bellhousing kit on monday so hopefully in the next week or 2 I can start working on getting the engine fitted in the truck.

i went ahead and got the Advanced adapters headers, there expensive but I have done some research and everyone i have talked too said they are awesome and they out lived the truck. also, I put a turbo 350 tranny in instead of a stock 5 speed, it fits in exactly the same space and its stronger and Instead of having to use a bell housing adapter I used a transfer case adapter.

You could check out http://www.hotrodlane.cc . This is a company called Street and Performance. I have a 94 LT1 in my 94 X-tra cab and I used their block hugger headers. I also used a T350 tranny with a 205 TC. You could try to find a set of early Vette manifolds which should also fit in. That is what I used in my 80 V8 swap.

Which part number did you order and do you have pix? (the AA site have a bunch of "image coming soon")

I just bought an 85 with a 350 in it using stock headers and want to replace them for some space (not sure what they came out of, but have alot of heat riser crap hanging off them).

Hey,

Can you please clarify how you did this? I have a 90 I4, 4WD and we want to modify with the 350 and a 205TC (we have them both) How about mounts? Radiator? Headers? Special yoks? Is yours fuel injected or carbuerated.

Any help is appreciated, we have the parts and would like to make it work. Thank you!

I use ebay block huggers and they fit EXCELLENT. And they were $80 shipped.

ive seen several other V8 swapped Toys use them.

Several companies make block hugger headers.

Here's some lousy pics of my exhaust setup. I welded one side, and the other side is still using clamps. I am going to remove the clamps and weld the other side. I still have to run the tail pipes, but for now it just ends out of the glasspacks underneath.

Did you ever consider flowtech headers my friend? Kind of thinking which is better than the two. I've asked some friends and they were all clamoring about the flowtech.

I'm looking at putting some headers on my 87 4Runner with a 307 in it. Don't really want to use the block huggers they suck. Want to use a full length head but will do a shorty if i have to. Summit has the headers for $89. Wondering if anyone has got any to fit they look like some of them will but i haven't heard from anyone who's tried.

Its done already

If your still trying to figure any of this swap over my truggy has a 350 with a th350 and a 203 transfer. I'm still running the ifs and have had no troubles as of yet and I am not easy on it at all. as far as headers are concerned summits part #717054-np are perfect with some slight hammering by steering shaft.
