So heres my deal. The motor in my truck is shot. I have an 1984 toyota pickup with a 22r in it. I scored a FREE 22RE that came out of a 1986 4-runner. Can i build the 86 and will it be compatible with my truck? I know they are different blocks and heads and all that but i took my carb manifold and and fitted it up to my efi head and it appears to work. The head has 2 different bolt patters but my ports all match up. I know i will have to put a header because one the 86 head is the pear shaped ports. Any help would be great!!
