I just did a 22re swap from my 86 4runner to a 87 22re which supposedly has 100K on it. After the swap it ran like crap. I had no power at all and actually got pulled over for going 5mph on the way to the shop. After the timing was done, a new alt. put in, had to replace a gasket on the exhaust flange. It has gained some power back, but it is still struggling hard. The codes that i pulled were 5, 6, 10, 12. Havent ran them again to check if any went away. If anyone has a clue let me know.

Check your plugs, wires, cap/rotor. Then your injectors
I just had a problem with my 22re, it ended up being the wiring for the first injector.
