engine swap cummins 4bt suppliers?
Hello,
New to the forum and the world of trucks! basically I am taking on a project to put a 4bt into my disco2. However, due to my lack of knowledge and experience I am not sure weather to buy used from a private dealer or a company? any recommendations will be appreciated!

I just want to point out that this is a Toyota-specific forum. You might have better luck on a general off-road, Cummins, or Land Rover forum.
There are a few 4BT Toyota swaps in the "Engine Swaps" subforum, so you might find something there.

Oh sorry, while I am here I don't suppose you know the difference between used and remanufactured? I found this company that will do new, remanufactured and used and to be honest im not sure what the difference is between the used and remanufactured?
any help or experience with this company would be greatly appreciated.https://www.4btengines.com/new-engines/cummins-4bt/

Used- pulled out of the vehicle. Maybe some mild cleaning, but that's it. Usually in good working order. A good first choice as far as price/reliability goes.
Remanufactured- a used engine that gets disassembled, cleaned, and put back together. Any parts that wear out are replaced (rings, bearings, belts, etc). Usually built to like-new standards.
New- fresh from the factory. Maybe broken in on a test stand.
