cant figure out what to do

cant figure out what to do
alright i have a 1987 4runner that came with the 3.0 auto but the engine was blown when we got it. I know i dont want to put another 3.0 so i was thinking about the 3.4 swap. What would i do about the trans i want to stay with auto and to my knowledge the 3.4 will not bolt up to my trany? also could i use the auto that came with the 3.4 and just use the transfer case that came with the 3.0?
