92 Toyota Pick-Up 2jz Swap
I’m currently doing a a 2j swap in my 92 Toyota pickup. I had a 2jz from IS300 lying around so I’m putting that into my truck. Im using the same R150F transmission. I took the automatic belhousing from the IS 300 and got a 95+ Toyota R150F bellhousing cut and welded them together to mate the transmission to the engine. Engine mounts Im using the 3vze mount and just building a bracket to the 2jz they seem to line up pretty well. I’m stuck on cooling capacity for my stock 92 radiator. I’m still wanting to run A/C so my condenser will stay and I don’t have enough room between my engine and rad for a puller fan. My plan is to pull the rad closer to the engine and push the condenser closer to the grille and putting a pusher fan between them it leaves me with 3” comfortably. From what I can find the is300 fans are a total of 2,500cfm. Anyone have any recommendations on fans for my build? My guess so far will be either 2 ,10” fans and have them offset or 1, 16” fan. Also CFM and thickness of the fan play a big role. Anyone done a similar build? All the forums I have seen they either scrap the condenser or cut the hood latch frame and build their own thing ,but I would like this build to stay as original as possible since it’s my daily driver.
