4.8 GM 4l60e swap w/ toyota t-case possiblity

Basically I have a totaled 08 gm sierra with the 4.8 vortec.
I would like to do one of the following:

1) Use the 4.8 w/ 2wd auto transmission (4l60e) with the toyota t-case. I need to know if/what adapters I need to find.

2) Use the 5 speed from my current toyota with the 4.8. Will the the GM 350 bellhousing conversion from advance adapters work with this engine?

3) Part the GM out and stick to Toyota engines.

I also want people to tell me all the horror stories that I will need to know prior to starting any of the above projects. Any help would be great.

1. Search

2. The 08 is pretty new for adapters, I couldn't find any. Only to 07, Did they change the tranny in 09 ? If not then Advance adapters has what you need.

3. Is the 4.8 a 60* V or 90*V ? This will decide on wether or not the bellhousing adapter works for you.

Advance adapters 3rd gen block to R150F adapter

A few non essential bolt holes will not line up from what I have been told. Not sure if it is true but I do know the 5.3 bolts up to a TH350 (in my D21) with a crank spacer.

Though I would not do it, you would be better off with an NV4500 and an adapter to a gear driven Tcase.

Northwest adapters are good.

Really helpful people and cheap too. That trans will hold up to the 4.8 as long as you have a light right foot.
