So im looking to get a 4 runner and there all over craigslist for pretty cheap and i have the 22re with the 5 speed and tcase out of my truck(91 P/U) that im swapping the chevy 4.3 in. Anyways the 4 runners all have the 3.slow motors in them and from what ive read on other threads is that the motor moves forward about 4 inches thats not a problem and i dont mind the relocation. Will the trans cross member off of the 22re frame bolt to the 3.0 chassi? Next ive heard 2 things about the 3.0 dash wiring to 22re Computer. one was that i just cut the plugs off of the 22re dash harness and cut n splice, ive also heard you can use the 3.0 plugs with alittle modification. The 4 runner will be early 90s the one i think id like to get is a 90. Please dont tell just do a 3.4 swap i understand upgrade but this is a toy for my beginner Girl friend and MPG is a bit better then both 3.4 or 3.0
