22r HELP! will they all fit?

Hi everyone, well I was wondering, I have a 2wd 1984 Toyota pickup 22r, can I take any 22r motor and install it I know 4x4 & 2wd oil pans are different besides that will it work! Possibly a old celica's 22r motor....... I would appreciate if someone could tell me all about it thank you in advance..............

Year to year connectors are different, sensors are different, wiring is a bit different, then you have autos, 5 spds and all that jazz. 22R is a 22R but lots of other indiosyncrasies in swapping from one vehicle to the next. You are just going to have to jump into it and fix things that don't "fit" as you go along.

yes pans are different and so are the oil draw tubes but they both bold up the same, the motor mounts i beleive a little different, but if you have any fab skills and welder you can make your own motor mounts. but like the wabbit said your gunna have to tackle each obsticle as it arrives, dont worry im doing the same type of swap so i know what you'll be going through
