i Just bought a 1993 toyota truck with a 22rte turbo but the ecm is bad i looked at the ecm and it appears to be the stock 22re ecm. is there a 22rte ecm that will plug into the 22re truck, and run the truck without frying the ecm

 

A 22 re ECU won't run the 22rte. The pin configuration of the ECU's is different also The the pin configuration of the 22rte air fuel meter is different. The AFM part # is exclusive to the 22rte. The injector circuit is a bit different as well. The 22re has the injector returns (white/red and white/blue) tied together before they return to the Ecu injector driver (ground) circuit. The 22rte does not have this junction. The 22re ECU does not have the correct fuel maps for the larger injectors of the 22rte either.
Your best bet would be to try to determine what year 22rte engine and harness you have and find the proper ECU.
