i have a 1985 toyota 4x4 extended pick up 22re 5 speed, 31 in tires lockrite in rear.

seeking more power,

what type engine should i put in i am in cali so smog, a diesel would be nice, what bolts up to that tranny


or swap. if have any ideas?? please....

can i put a 2001 toyota 4x4 engine and tranny transfer case in ??????

I have the same Question, i have the same truck with no engine, i was wondering if a gm, 4.3l vortex, would be hard to install? please help. thanks
