I'm planning to do an SAS swap for my 100 series landcruiser, I was wondering how much you spent on doing the SAS conversion for your tundra?

Not sure on exact numbers, but since the swap and with all the other upgrades and things I have done since, over 15K into it I'd say.

Its been a while since I have been on here last, but about a month and a half ago I fell into a deep hole while crossing back over a creek and blew the motor. Replaced it myself and all is good now. But what a pain in the ass that was.

Wow. Hard luck with the water, huh? Great looking truck, though.

Well I decided (for now at least) to just re-do what I had to begin with in the rear. I flipped the shackle in the rear with ruffstuff shackle mounts and home made 4" shackles. I ended up taking 2 leafs out of the springs. It is a lot smoother now and has a few more inches of uptravel. The only things that I need to address now are longer shackles (5" or 6") and move the pinion angle down, either with shims or just wait and get new spring perches and ubolts so i can flip the u bolts all in one shot.

When I took out the old springs, the centering pin on the passenger side had sheared off and was bent....

shackle mounts I made for the frame...
