Man, I am jealous. Very clean job and I like how you keep your workspace tidy.

Mike
I ordered the TG 10" long travel shaft. I figure that I can reuse my CV joint plus it isn't broke, so why get rid of it. I am taking leave next week and should have evetything by this Friday.

Plans for next week are:

Monday-- cut and weld the front DS
Tuesday-- remove the rear 3rd and have the new gears installed

So hoping by Friday having everything done. But we will see

The IFS CV shafts only allow for 22 degrees of angle before binding. I guarantee you are already over that without dual cases. If fact, if you have a single case, only a 85 or earlier front shaft will work. And, its only good to 35 degrees which is too much for a V6 rig at droop. You need a standard shaft (non-CV), and just redrill the front flange for the new shaft. Trust me on this. I have done 20+ SAS's on these rigs. Grab a rear shaft from another rig, and cut it down, slide in the Trail-Gear part and re-weld.

I just want to be clear, you are saying that I can't use this drive shaft?

You can try that if you wanted.

With my single u-joint on each end setup it stil vibrates like crazy if i get going fast though..

I will once I get my DS situated. I am looking into fixing my rear DS now. Since the SAS I have developed a bad vibration. I am waiting to get the esitmate to have a CV joint installed on the rear, front DS and also have the gears in the rear 3rd installed. I know the dude is really busy, so once I get the word, I will bring everything to his shop.

Today I remove the 3rd, I will be dropping off at BRC Motorsports on Monday to have the new gears installed.

I also installed the new front driveline today. I had to drill new holes in both flanges, but it came out "the nutz".

This is the 2nd (1st one was the rear) driveshaft that I have ordered from Steve at Southbay Driveline. And again the service was top notch. I sent him the check on Monday, it cleared Wednesday and I had it Friday. If you would like his contact number let me know I am not sure if I can post it in here.

Mike... you will have your wheeling pictures next weekend.
