Need some help sas and 4wd conversation on a 1977 pick up
Hello new friends I have some questions and hopefully someone can help me answer them! I’m doing a sas on a 77 yota truck the axle I’m using is a dodge Dana 44 full width (and yes I know not the best but I did upgrade it from the cad to a one piece axle shaft so better right!?)
my question is, is there a kit I can order to keep it linked or would I be better cutting everything off and running leafs? Or could I just use the lift the axle has on it, which is a 6” long arm kit? and just make my own crossmember for mounting the control arms and do away with coils and run coil overs? any tips tricks and advice would be very much appreciated!!

If you're going through all that work already, I'd go for something like a 3 link and air shocks/ coilovers. Set the ride height wherever you want and have great on and offroad performance. That's just my 2 cents though.
