3inch hd sas question I NEED ANSWERS FAST
I want to move my axle forward 3/4th of a inch which is enough to where i dont need to move my steering box yet. and my high steer wont hit.
What im conserned about is trail gear tells me to mount it flush with the front frame and the hanger. But i wanna move it forward like a 5' sas would. and moving the rear jig whole forward 3/4th of a inch enough to where it still wont hit the body mount.
Please somebody answer my question im stuck.
or forward me to a post i cant find anything on 3'' sas

why not move the axle forward by drilling the spring perch?
here is what i found through a quick search on 3" spring mounts:
Front Spring Hanger Placement: (when using longer than stock springs like Trail Gears)

He can't with the 3" springs. In fact, he needs to mount it 1/4" back of the front crossmember for a decent shackle angle and to have the tie rod and draglink clear each other on compression. Otherwise he'll be having to move the steering box forward.
I have all of these lifts down to a science at this point.
3" springs: 1/4" in back of the frame. Push the frame tube jig all the way forward in the body mount.
4" Springs 1/2" in front. Center the frame tube jib in the body mount
5" springs 3/4" in front. Center the frame tube jib in the body mount
