I can tell you right now, there is Zero snow at Walker. And if you don't have 33" tires and a locker of some sort, walker is not going to work.
Just went up there today, and that place is sloppy and rutted pretty bad.

i will not wheel tahuya again.... destroyed a 4runner and a quad there... i'm done.
i talked to a guy from shelton yesterday and he said there is a ton of snow up above lake Cushman in the ONF. ( he said he hasnt been there since december ish but cant imagine it being gone already) . i did some scouting of ONF last summer and it was a blast.
*edit* this is where we entered into ONF last summer. we then explored ever FS road possible. finding several cool camp sites.
a couple summers ago (2004?!) i explored above Cushman, entered on at FS24/US101 and then went to 2464 and hung a right.
explored a bunch of those FS roads.
ONF may be a good call, WAY northsounders can ferry to Pt. Townsend. Seattlites can ferry to Kingston, and south sounders can come up from Olympia.
Also, i know a trail / FS road system outside of Packwood that will have snow, we ran into snow as late as last april. the " hardcore wheelin" per-say isnt that great, but snow covered FS roads are still fun.
FS 48 climbs all the way up to 4800 feet. it dead ends at a over look to Packwood lake.
one of the side trails we explored off 48.. rainier in the back ground.

Packwood lake

view of the valley

panoramic view of the trees / mountain from above the shooting cory

Damn... There is no way I'll have the 35's and 5.29's in by then.... the divorce drained me, and continues to drain. I'd love to make this run but you guys would laugh when I rolled up on my 31's and only one locker. I'm a great outdoor cook and a bad ass survival meat gatherer. We'd be able to surive for weeks up there with me hunting and cooking.
I need to get gears and tires dang it.....

The big runner may not be on the road (errr off road) by then.. I'll be rocking the baby runner with 31s and 410s behind a 3.0 auto...
I have 5.29 lockrights front and rear 3rds for an ifs truck for sale..

The gears are working great... I went from 11mph city with 529s to 13 city 17 highway with the 410s... I am still looking for a 456 set to throw in to have a nice mix of the 2 ends of the gear spectrum..
