WNC WrenchDay Nov27th

Thats right,
A week from today. Anyone that can't make the windrock trip should come to Asheville NC to have a meet'n greet as well as a wrench day. The first half of the day we will be a Mike's place re-mounting my sliders and taking measurements for a new rear bumper . Also I think J is going to be playing with his ARB trying to get it back in order. Then we are either going to my house for a bbq or if I'm to tired then we will all head out to dinner somewhere like Fuddruckers. So if there is something youve been wanting to do with your rig come on up, there are never too many helping hands/minds. We are also going to be brainstorming ideas for the new rear bumper so the more input the better! Oh yeah, also Keisur and I are going to be doing the TSTango TJM gap mod as well. Anywho, if you want more info PM me and I'll get you an address and phone numbers.

Are you in Savannah ? Back in July ( when I blew my motor in Charleston )
I had to leave my utility trailer in Mt. Pleasant - I need it brought closer to Knoxville - willing to pay - interested ?

I will be in Hendersonville for Thanksgiving and going home the same day. I will have to turn around and come back on saturday. I really need to go. Do you think we can add my front brakes to the wrench-a-thon?

Sure,
I'll just have to rustle myself out of bed at a descent hour so we can get started on my sliders so we can get them out of the way and then when you show up we can do them. Then we can take measurements for the bumper and brainstorm/discuss over dinner.

Doc,
I'd be glad to help you out. Where is mt plesent? If you want it to come back on this haul its going to have to make a couple stops along the way b/c I'm going to raleigh to do the family thing then winston for the day then up to asheville friday night. Then we have this thing on sat. Maybe we could meet somewhere on sat night? or if you don't go on the trails with chris you could come down to asheville for dinner. If you could wait til sunday I could meet you somewhere. I'll have to stick around the house some because we have to take christmas card pictures, but other than that I don't have any plans. Good thing I didn't take the hitch off

Austin,
Mt. Pleasant is inside the perimeter of Charleston where isle of palms is on the beach. Call me at work tomorrow 1-800-648-8535 Sea Ray Boats.

If you came out of Savannah up 95 to 26 - I could get somebody to meet you with the trailer at the junction of 95 and 26. Or if you have time you could run 95 up to 17 and take 17 over towards Charleston then catch 26 back towards Columbia. I thought maybe I would drive to Asheville on Sunday morning and meet you to bring it on home. I would greatly appreciate it and make it worth your time. I need my trailer !
The wife and I talked about me not going Saturday and just driving to Charleston to get it. Call me and we can go from there.

You'll have to wait on dinner dude. I'll be having to pay for the gas to go so I can't do anything yet. there is hope though, we got somebody interested in the house in Houston so wish us luck with that. I don't know, maybe I can afford a fudburger for you, just have to wait until the weekend to see how much I have left after pimping all week at work.

Does anybody have a current cell phone number for Austin ?
The new number that he gives when you dial the old number is incorrect.

Thanks Keisur - Mikey sent it to me by private message - I just spoke
with Austin - thanks guys !
The number that Austin gives out when you dial his old cell phone number belongs to some guy who is not happy about it. He gets pissed when you ask for Austin

The number is 912-604-9986 where the dude gets pissed - don't call

Appreciate the help - Doc Staley

whether I'm there depends on if I can find a shop to setup my gears tomorrow. the 4runner is up on stands in a buddy's garage and the 3rd is pulled but I can't seem to get the lash dialed in so I need to find a shop or a rear 3rd to borrow from someone for about a week. anybody have one I can borrow?

I've got the old 4:10 open that came out of mine. It works, and thats all i'm going to say for it. It has 320,000 miles of hell on it. It's good for a "need a spare now temp. fix."

it doesn't matter, I'm not going to wheel it. 4.10's would be fine if I could borrow it for a few days or a week. enough time for me to find a place to do my 3rd and also so I can drive my 4runner. it'll be all in 2wd so it won't matter that the front is 4.88.

any way you could maybe meet me half way between ashville and greenville tomorrow and let me borrow it? my buddy could probably drive me up that far, there'd be some foamy's for you sometime if you could.

Had a great time today. I got there early so Mike and I started on my brakes. Austin showed up later and we got busy on raising and beefing up his sliders. Afterwards dinner at Applebies, Thanks Austin.
Mike, thanks for having us over looking forward to seeing you guys soon.
Heres some pics.
Austin grinding and Mike fabbing up some plates and gussets for the sliders.
