Can't do that. I will be leaving to go home on the morning of the 2nd and would prefer not to ride on the 1st. During the week would be better for me, if the 1st is the only time everyone can go, then I may have to adjust, but I definitely can't ride on the 2nd.

No problem! I get off at 3pm on the 31st, and can go on Saturday, but due to my vacation in January, I've got limited vacation time. Hopefully we can work something out, but if not we'll do it again for sure.

I couldn't chisel the stone tablet quick enough I guess next time I have to bring someone who knows how to operate one of those new fangled camera gadgets

I'll ride with you and film, since at this point I'm not sure my jaloppy will be ready for the next run.

Chris,
Yes it is 8.2mp... it will also do 5 frames a second burst. But, at the pro level 8.2 isn't anything... There is a Kodak back for a hasabland (spell) camera that is over 16mp. The 20D is Canon's new "prosumer" camera. For thsoe that enjoy photography as a hobby more than someone that makes a living off of it. The biggest difference between the 20D and the 1D (canon's top model) is the size of the receptor. Which does make a big difference but... i'm not about to go spend $4,500 on a camera. Nor do I need it. I do enjoy photography and am taking some photo classes at school. So I will get good use out of the thing. I took some night shots tonight with it and they turned out pretty well. I'll post them in the photos section when I tinker with them a little on the computer.

J,
No those are not my initials... but they are my roomates... Robin Roemisch....

I was thinking more along the lines of a cartoon character, probably before your time, like late 70's, more my time, "Richie Rich."

Austin's new avatar should be:
