I'm in the Bay Area and I'm looking for places to take my truck offroad. Do any of you guys know of a place within an 1 1/2 or 2 hours where I could take my stock truck ?

 

Well, you could come up north a little ways to Lake, or Mendocino counties. There is a spot called "Cow Mountain", and it's a fun little(well, if 50,000 acres is little) offroad park that I go to sometimes. It's only like 20 minutes from my house, so I could possibly attend if necessary. The trails are pretty easy, but there are a couple "interesting" spots... I wheel my stock 94 4Runner there with 31" tires, and open diffs, and I have fun. I'm not sure what you are looking for though. Just Google "BLM Ukiah field office" and look up Cow Mountain Recreation Area for more info.
