Where can I go wheelin' in East TN??

I know you guys who live near me are out there some where. I'm not too familiar with the area out here in Johnson City (really East TN). I need to break in my new truck, preferably in a big mudhole, but some cool trails with nice views will do. Please help me free my truck from it's urban prison!!

Winrock is near Oak Ridge.

Code Blue is north of there closer to the KY border.

Tellico is south of Knoxville by about an hour and a half, just outside of Tellico Plains, TN

you can google all three names and you'll get tons of info.

Both of these have some awesome views.

PM for directions.

there are some good places here in johnson city. or close by like bumpass cove.. little stoney creek.. depends on what you want to do.. there is a local site called www.4x4grace.com they have a list of some local trails..but some of the people on there arent that great to go wheeling with

if you want to go wheeling sometime lemme know.. im currently rebuilding my rig though...but if you want i will show you where the trails are

your thinking of Royal Blue wildlife management area. That place isn't very truck friendly.

Hit some really cool trails over around Irwin the other weekend. No mud, lots of rock but nothing HUGE. PM me if you want any details.

I was out for 2 days but I will be getting back with all of you for directions to all of these places. I did expect everyone to mention Tellico but it is not really close enough to me.

I did go up to Bumpass cove a little while back. I did not have any solid directions on where I should go and no one local to go with me so I ended up turning around as soon as I saw a house up there. You never know what to expect with people and the guy who told me about said that the people up there were not friendly. That day I just ended up scaling the fence at the old landfill and hiking around out there.

I have 31" tires at stock height (actually saggy height). Only mods are aesthetic so I do not need any crazy stuff right now. I just need to get off road and see how she handles. I like playing in the mud and riding trails more than rocks.

Anyway, I will check all links given to me and pm you guys for directions tomorrow.
