Hey man, I live in Revelstoke BC, nice small town about a couple hours east of the Okanagan area, and a few hours west of Banff, with unlimited amount of rugged terrain and logging roads to go exploring, all roads lead somewhere interesting and definatley considered the "booneys". Nowhere specific, but pretty much everywhere you go around here is an adventure...great camping and fishing, lots of mountain lakes and awsome scenery...just gotta watch out for the grizzly bears...I would use LOL, but its no joke, there's the wildest of wild animals around here, gotta becareful

Where you @?...

ya, there's a few truck stop/gas stations around that have some forestry maps, and there's a forestry office here as well...there are also some awsome books called Backroads Maps, that have all roads in certain areas, can be found at most gas stations around here...

hey remko..

where abouts are you located? in the okanagan or the kootneys? grab the okanagan/kootneys backroads mapbook...should be lots of trail info there. im actually wanting to plan a trip out to whipsaw or princeton & surrounding areas for the summertime. father in law lives in nelson, and im hoping to make it out that way again this summer for some camping/wheeling trips. if youre anywhere near there...wouldnt mind going for a run (once you find em )

not sure on shops in the area..but have a look in bc4x4.com. theres been some recent threads regarding good 4X shops in the okanagan area...

not sure about wheeling in banff...im always usually just blazin through there in the last stretch to calgary...

definitely check out the thread 97LTD pointed out..the 'its dead here' is where most of us BC'ers are on..
