Trails in NC?
I'm just starting to wheel and I was wondering if there are any good trails in North Carolina. I know about tellico, but my truck is no where ready for that. IF anyone one knows of any trails, please let me know so I can get some experience. Thanks.

CHIME!
Haha.. Yeah, Uwharrie (approx. 30 min. south of Asheboro?) is an awesome place to start wheeling. It has a wide variety of difficulty levels and it's got plenty of acreage to cover.
If you're near the coast you can drive on the beaches of the outerbanks.
If you're near Boone, NC (northwestern, nc) there are trails on the backside of Beech Mtn. -- PM me for directions.
Best word of advice... go with someone (another 4x4 truck/suv/jeep) that is experienced but not too wild who will force you to do something with your truck that you don't feel comfortable doing.

Did anyone in the Raleigh area ever offroad at New Hope Rd. extension on the other side of HWY 64 near the landfill? There were a good amount of trails back there at one time. I believe there is part of the new outer loop there now.

Any other trails in the triangle area? I'll probably try out kemp road tomorrow if I get off before dark. Any issues with the land owners of the power line trails? Gonna do Uwharrie too when it warms up a bit and I can camp.

Hey everybody, I am located in Raleigh and if any of you fellow NC'ers want to wheel, I am looking for a local group. My runner is barely customized so I would like to stick to beginner trails. I cant find any of the trails everyone is talking about, I assume I'm just crazy haha.

I'd be down. Got a bud or 2 with yotas and no mods that might be game. I won't even have any til next weekend when I get my coils, shocks, and tires installed. Are you a student at State? Or just live in the area.

Yeah, I'm a senior at State, I live in University Village apts off lineberry. And when I say my runner is barely customized, I mean I took off the running boards and I'm trying to take off the lower front bumper valence. I need new tires but I can't get them until summer time.
