Top of the World planning questions

So my friends and I decided since we are graduating this year we wanted to take a road trip to the "top of the world" trial that i have heard so much about to celebrate and to be one of the most memorable things we do together.

But all i have really seen are the pictures i really dont know very much about it and can't seem to find any information there is very little discussion that i have found on YT about it and i would like to know what we are getting into

So basically i want to find out as much about it has i can we haven't done an overnight camping trip with our trucks before but we go camping a good bit so im not a total newb but any info will help
so i really want to find out info about what you packed to how hard and technical it is... EVERYTHING!!! lol and pics are always good too

so please enlighten me with anything that you know about it

thanks

All things Moab:

Get the spiral bound version.

Its hotter than hell in the summer though - when do you graduate?
Colorado chapter of TTORA is going end of May/early June

Check out the White Rim trail - all the campsites are probably booked though

Yes it will be, so maybe check and see when CoTTORA is going and join up with us. If you are gonna drive all the wayt o Moab don't JUST do top of the world (though that trail IS amazing) make a whole week of it!

Top of the world! (1000 foot drop... and lotsof wind makes for an interesting time getting to the edge! (Me and my friend Don from last May 2008)

I'd love to make a whole week out of it but when you are 2000 miles away from home you tend to play it a little safe and my friends and i dont want to push our luck if you know what i mean haha

There are a lot of trails that are as difficult if not EASIER than top of the world. No way will we let you drive 2000 miles each way to only run ONE trail in Moab At least plan it when others of us will be out there and if you don't want to drive, then ride along on some of the harder trails. (But no less interesting than Top of The World!)
