Sorry, that first pic I posted is a step out of a different lake in the area. My son and I went off the beaten path and found another neat lake. Smaller, but more secluded.
Even I winced when it came time to climb out of there. Keep in mind, I'm pretty much stock.

Phew! Whatever trail the Pontiac Wagon made it down I am sure I can with no problem!
Glad we got that cleared up.... I am going to try talking to the Geology Professor and see if he can give me any tips in the area, he was been to Bancroft and the surrounding areas many times.
This is getting exciting!

hey red!
man, youre driving a toyota!! the first year i did a major wheeling trip, my truck was completely stock and my tires were not at their best. i did bump and bang in a few places, thats what the skids are for. i learned about picking lines, watching my spotter and listening to others after a particular obsticle had been successfully navigated.
no one wants to see another wheeler damage his/her rig, we all do our best to keep trail carnage to an absolute minimum. schedule the time off, pack your rig with your camping gear, food an any other specialty items you may need (meds) and we will look forward to seeing you on the trails!
