I like the idea of group meals, and the idea of a DVD sounds even better. My buddy should be bringing his still camera, and if someone wants to bring a miniDV cam but doesn't want to shoot, I'm sure he wouldn't mind manning the camera the whole weekend. Lets make this thing happen.

I may be able to get my dads minidv on my way through Mobile this weekend but I can't promise, it's a cheap PO steamy S anyway.

I'd give some dough to the food fund too to have a hot meal every night. I'll have my fruitloops mixed with super sugar crisp in the morning and a good movement about noon to keep things regular. haha.

Talking Vid Cam

I got a nice Sony digital video camera, uses the little digital tapes and I have a boom mic for it, it zooms the audio w/ the video and cuts out background noise. I can bring it if you like....

Austin, I'll have my camera with the "drunk" zoom that you liked so much. What's this about hanging at a cabin, what happened to hanging at Crawfords?

Austin I have 2 Sony handy cams and Andy has a Canon mini DV unfortunently I don't think we'll part with the whole tape, you don't want the late night footage of me and Ami.

I have my Canon A70 that I shoot most of my video and stills with, but that will stay in the rig with me.. last time I handed it out on a run for somebody to take shots of me it got dropped on the trail. But I'll still try to get my dad's minidv.

Sweet, we need to organize the video shooting responsibiliteis once we get up there and make this video/DVD thing work. Very exciting andit's getting closer, now all I need is to get my truck back/ I still have sliders, a CD, breathers, and the grey wire mod to get done before we roll.

Gray wire mod lets you use an e-locker anytime and not just in 4-lo. It's in the tech section write-ups ya noob. Your "wench" huh?

J,
We will have plenty of cameras to keep us busy...
Still:
Cannon S400
DSC-F707
Video
2 sony miniDVs
tiny panasonic miniDV

I was just asking if I could give you tapes and then I take the footage at the end to use for the video. Any Sony, Cannon and Olympus digital cameras or if your camera uses Compact Flash cards I will be able to get your pictures because they all use the same cable and I have a CF card reader in my laptop so whoever wants to dump their images everyday can so you can have higher quality pics. Its up to you... I can also burn CDs at the end of the run also so everyone can have full quality pics (unless its going to be more than one cd worth).

I say we make crawfords the meeting place in the mornings and during the day and then for dinner we all meet at the cabin. Its up to each person, I'm not trying to say you have to do this, but our doors will be open and the grill kegs will be running. There is a huge porch with rocking chairs, bar seating inside and there is also a firepit ourtside by the creek so we can still roast marshmellows

I never had a need to look at the tech section for that info since I never had an elocker and figured somebody would answer me easier than crapping around looking for the answer.

I have an idea for some night time activities when the alcohol starts flowing and the food gets served:

Click ME!

religious disclaimer: there is middle finger showing if you go to the actual site the video is on, in case any of you are easily offended by the middle finger and don't want to see it. sheesh.
