Thanks for clearing that one up Mike...cause I was a wondering who that was!

Better BYOB cause they don't sell any beer/liquor in Murphy, NC. Not a dry county, they just don't sell it...don't ask me.

That is just yet another thing I need to add to my "Only in the South" list. :pat:

Right up there w/ the homeless man carrying a giant cross, and a horse running loose on a 4 lane road.

I'm sure it is due to the local Bible beaters and/or Baptists, if I was guessing. And if you don't want a Baptist to drink all your beer, you'd better invite at least two Baptists to the party.

I think at many churches in the South, some Sundays there should be a two drink minimum...it would be a lot more fun some days.

You nailed that one for sure, & I speak from personal experience. I'll be the Baptist preacher's kid in the black 4runner on 39.5s with a V-8 swap & a cooler full of beer...

You both got that right, and I'm the heathen Catholic kid on the block. Thanks to the "Bible Beaters" I've got a very tainted view of Christianity, but for arguments sake, we're not going there. Bring on the beer, and the clear, aka shine. 10 days and counting

I got some stuff done this weekend...nothing major though, checked my tire deflators (Oasis) and they work great, removed my wheel weights, checked fluids, stripped doors, ditched my front fenders and rerouted all those wires that were sticking out that are supposed to go under the front fenders, cleaned the air filter (a PO had used an oiled type filter it seems as the inside of the AFM was gunkified), found an oil leak on the timing chain cover (top) but that should get fixed easily under the rebuild warranty. I have a ton and a half of stuff to do in the next 10 days...who needs sleep anyway.

BTW: TODAY is the last day to register.

For those of us that are on the slow side today, what does that mean?

Just bring your IFS truck, it's probably more capable anyway.

I am about to think that when the 85 is ready...I'll be retired.

I had to jumpstart the 87 this morning(left the map lights on for about 48 hours) and the clutch wouldn't take it...so I don't know about that.

It's only like 3-3.5 hours for you to come, and you definitely won't regret it.

Isn't that the truth. I find myself questioning the fine line between hobby and obsession as I'm installing an electric cooling fan at midnight when I need to be at work at 7:00!

To our wive's it's definitely an obsession, but to us, it's the hobby we love! I still haven't convinced my wife it's just a hobby! But, maybe now that I no longer have a 4runner, it can only be a hobby at best.
