SD Crew the fire is burning our wheeling areas

 Look at the map of the burned areas...Looks like it may hit Corral Canyon as well as Carveacre

You can see Carveacre way off the the left, and you can see that part of Corral Canyon has already burned.

Which one...there are a lot of little trails on the north side of the five. Not to mention the fun dirt road to get under the 8.

This kinda sucks but like already said I feel for the local residents. Good thing it is not that populated.

I am gonna say for me I will wait until the following weekend. I have a Wedding and my wifes Bday to handle this weekend and the fire thing sort of seals the deal for me. I was gonna try and slid it but the last thing those fire crews need to do is rescue a bunch of off roaders because the wind changed direction or something like that.

Sounds like Ryan needs to do some work on his upper ball joints anyway.

Hope all you guys are staying cool out there. Look out for your neighbors if you have power outages in your areas. There have been some heat realated deaths with the elderly.

In Ko pah sounds great if anybody is game next weekend.

Bummer, I've never been to Corral Canyon and the trees were gonna help me to convine Alea to come along. Now there's nothing slightly foresty to wheel through. I guess Big bear is it for us.

I'm probly down for in ko pah next weekend. The trail i talk of is a one way trail, ie you have to drive back the same way, goes innto Anza Bor., you go by the radio tower, down the hill past table mnt. and keep going, it is a very fun trail, pretty challenging.
I've been waiting for other 4x4's to want to run it, i've only been out so far on it as i was alone.

We would probably try it really early to beat the heat.

It is really up to you. You are the one who needs to try out the new gear. I am in for what ever you all decide as long as it is an early run.

That adapter slug is fine, Eric. Talked to Bruce and they guy who sold me the kit (Corey) to confirm. Just need the bumpstops mounted and find some replacement screws for my skids since the kinda got lost in the pile of parts while doing my LT swap.....

Sucks to hear about Corral Canyon....so many more trails out there that I wanted to go on. Oh well. Maybe we could put together a "trail aide" run to help that area get back on its feet and reopen. Prob be good ammo if they ever want to close down the OHV part.

That is a very cool idea. We could do that. I will find a way to contact them. I have a friend in a Jeep club that sponsors Bronco peak trail in CC so he will know who to talk to.

...yeah, sucks for the residents, but, all that area out there is considered to be a large fire threat, and always had been... !! Every year people keep building more houses out there and they just end up getting burned... !!

Anyways, can't wait to get home and hit up some trails down there...
