Satuday Run In The Mountains!!

I'm starting a new thread from the Moody Hill/Crystal Mtn. thread regarding a run on Saturday 10/1.

Hey,
If anyone is running out towards Twin Cone,Red Cone, Georgia Pass, Montezuma or somewhere in that area. Let me know. Got a visitor in town this weekend and want to show a scenic run with some challenges. This would be for Saturday 10/1.

Saturday!!

I know we are looking to run on Saturday but I don't think we have figured out where yet. We would like to do some scenic trails and try to catch colors as well. We were talking trails outside of Montezuma/Breckenridge possibly but I don't know if there are many views of the colors up there. The trails are extremely scenic though and wildlife is likely.

Hey Anna!! Missed you the last run...

Yeah John and I have been trying to figure out what to hit this weekend... I am pretty much down for whatever as long as we get into some fall colors, and maybe some challenges

yeah, I don't think trails out of montezuma will give us much look at fall color. But honestly, I don't know what will. I thought about running twin cone - but heard people say last weekend that the leaves probably wouldn't last another week. So, I don't know. Maybe we'll look through our trail books tonight and see if anything pops out at us.

Doug and I and a couple others are running Medano pass. I flew over that area last weekend and the colors are awesome from the air so should be great. It's a little longer drive for those of you in Denver but I think it's worth it. There is usually a very big water crossing, a few hills a couple mild obstacles, great areas for lunch and of course THE DUNES and awesome sight in itself if you have never seen it. I have on thread on this trip under Colorado Fall Color Run...Darcie

I am open as long as it's scenic and a day's ride to and from Evergreen. I have someone that will be in town, and I want to make sure they get a nice scenic ride through the mountains, with some good photo's. Leaves or no leaves, as long as it's scenic I'm there.
Let me know what the concensus is?
Thanks
CJ

Hey Everyone,
Sorry, but the website was down Friday and couldn't log on to check messages. Ended up doing Red Cone, Radical Hill, St. Johns and Montezuma before heading home. Kind of got a late start on Saturday. Let me know if anyone is planning on wheeling this next weekend..Want to go before the snow starts falling.........
Thanks,
CJ
