I wish I could. I have been going solo to CC and Big Bear and can't really do anything tuff. But I am leaving for a 6,000 mile road trip on Friday. San Diego-> Flagstaff -> Chicago->Detroit->Denver->Lake Tahoe->San Diego.

my buddy is finishing my truck up today and tommorow... he got the whole bumper on he just needs to add one more outrigger to the frame and touch up paint and it's ready to go now i just got to get it smogged but that will be easy.....

Is that 15 mile trail from pine valley still open? I had heard that it was closed. Can someone who has done that route lately confirm that it is open or closed?

Dammit, i'll be in San Diego the following weekend, but not this one...too bad, cuz would have been great to meet and wheel with you guys...if anything comes up between the 23rd and the 27th, let me know, cuz i'm almost always down for wheeling.

 

Last year I did these trails with a guy who had a bone stock 2nd Gen with bald tires. He smoked his clutch getting through but he made it. I did it without turning the e-locker on in my 99 Taco without too much trouble. Not at all worried about doing this in my Runner w no locker.

 

Cool, I'm locked, but my friend with an XJ wants to come.

 

I have run this with some Jeep guys also. They had no problem either.

My 3rd is making wierd vibrations over 60 when you let on or off the throttle. I think it has to do with the pinion gear or bearing. So Protrux has my truck now and is yanking the 3rd. There was talk of just slaping in nother 3rd with 4.88's until they can get my 3rd fixed.

I just want my 3rd back.

 

Ouch....sorry to hear that seth.....mine is making some funky noises too b/c I think my ÅÅÅÅ is set too tight....whatever though I'll run her till she blows, and then rebuild....good luck on the fix.....

Hopefully progear can get the shizzle done and sent up to Protrux by friday.

hey i cant wheel with a bumper that is not completely secured to the frame..... besides i'll be wheeling a company truck in the mountains for the next two weeks.. work is sending me out there for the rest of the month our mountain guy had a heart attack he' like 26 years old
