The plan is to meet in front of the High School on the east side of Julian at 9am...from there we will head over to Oriflamme/Rodriguez truck trail. Then down to Anza Borrego for some fun exploring. I want to be done wheeling by about 4pm at latest. We will camp in one of the many canyons in the Fish Creek area. We will need some wood for a fire Sat night (Brad...hopefully you can hook it up again)

On Sunday we will run Coyote Canyon or "the Slot", or maybe both??
I really hate reading through 5 pages to find out the date, or its changed, and stuff.

Please Update the Main Page for the final dates this is scheduled to be held at, and its not clear what city the High School on East Side of Julian Is. Im new to SD and have no clue where this is. Im not sure if Im going to make it, but will try.

Also, I have Monday off, does anyone want to stay an extra say camp out sunday and wheel monday as well?

Hey Mark, you can put me on the head count for this run. I plan on wheeling but but i think i'm going to have to skip dinner, bummer eh.
Also a buddy of mine might jump in with his Heep Chickery, still gotta confirm thouth. His rig is mostley stock except for two three inches of lift and 31's. Does any one think he might have a problem running this trail.

For anyone who cares - here's the forecast for the weekend. This is in BS. Oyster Shell Wash is slightly higher in elevation at 1000' amsl so it may be a little cooler at night.

FYI - I was camping with the boy in Collins Valley last weekend and we got (according to the ranger) 1/4" Sat. night. Folks should prepare accordingly just in case.

I'm bringing flour/corn tortillas and salsa.

Counting down.................

If i made some spanish rice at home, how hard do you think it would be to re-heat that night? Do you think 4 cups of rice would cover everyone?

I think it would re-heat just fine assuming it's in a non stick pot and you add a little water.4 cups cooked doesn't seem enough.

I'll probably be bringing a couple pounds of adobada and flour tortillas and beans. And Cervesa

my bad....I meant 4 cups before cooked, so about 12 cups after. I'll also have a two burner stove and a grill.

Pat, bring whatever you want to eat.

We will be camping in Oyster Shell Wash hopefully. Sounds like Mikey and Josh will meet up with us there.

Hopefully Mikey can get there early to secure a spot....thanks Mikey

This is gonna be a great weekend. Bring your cameras. Lots of really cool sandstone formations in the washes. I am excited because until this trip through this area I have been going so fast on this trail that I have not had a good chance to really stop and enjoy the cool landscapes.

I should say going so fast or.... Towing a huge A$$ broke down rig. LOL Still fun though!!!!!!!!!!!

For the feast on Sat night it doesn't sound like anyone has rogered up for the meat for sure. So I will pick up some carne asada from La Posta market here in IB Fri night.
