Man. Looks like I missed out on some fun.
Couldn't get out of working on the moms house.

So Ben. What happened that you scraped up the quarters and needed Rob's winch line?

Is there any vids of Mark and Chris crawling the rocks?

More..more. I need to see more pics and vids!

Doing the the breathers is a breeze. I did mine on a ferry ride over to Tahuya last year, and then did Kevin's (KevyWevy) in the air-down lot at Tahuya.

Cost wise, it's basically just a run of 3/8" (?) fuel line and a small hose clamp. Most folks run the rear's up along side of the fuel filler neck, so that's about 2' of line for the rear. Check your front, you may already have one there - I think some 4Runners came with them stock.

Here's a write-up with more info:

https://www.yotatech.com/~corey/tech...r/breather.htm

That write-up talks about getting a fitting, some folks (me included) just used the "bobble head" fitting that's already on the diff. You tear off the bobble-head part, skip the hose over the remaining nipple, and clamp it down.

yep its a really easy mod. i ended up re-doing mine in the rear with the union fitting that rob has listed on his website. i had to do front and back, boy was the front a PIA!!! but i think its only 2nd gens that don't have it up front all ready. i ran mine to the engine bay, just cause with fuel filters on the ends.

For anyone that is interested...........the dented fender is fixed (removed fender flares and pulled out by hand), door opens, mirrors are ordered but the scratch marks from the sand are still present.

Oh, I have him out flexed by a mile......and a half. He has the ground clearance (35's vs. 33's) that's what happend. And there was only one line.

He would have followed me with ease were his rear diff not leaving a 6" deep furrow in the sand behind him as he went.

That's my story and I am sticking to it.

Ben, you should get rid of that thing. It only gets in the way and you have one up front so it's really just a spare anyway... We can call it the diff removal mod or DRM for short and make a million bucks!

None, but it was close... He hit it a bit hard, then teetered, but luckily he landed on the good side

That is a novel idea

Not only did the diff prepare Reiter for a corn field but in the process mashed the gas tank skid in 1 inch. So it's coming off, getting hammerd and angle strips welded in.
