No, he didn't get enough water in the cab to become "Waterboy". Jesse continues to hold the title for the most drowned vehicle.
We were wrapping up for the day and Cody (pilot of the swamp beast) was leading us down a trail he knew that was a "shortcut" back to the air up spot. He zigged when he should have zagged and took on a swamp that was bigger than he is. Down he went. I passed him and turned around to winch him out. From there, we pulled his plugs and blew out the water while his passengers bailed out the interior. Then he was on his way again

Very lucky! i was worried that there would be some damage, i didnt really wanna waste my b-day money on that. But everything is fine, and i'm on my way out the door to go change my fluids. Can I get some tips on changing tranny fluid? thanks

FYI... I talked to a number of folks yesterday about OBD stuff. I put some links at the bottom of that page to units that I have or have used. Feel free to hit me up with questions!
And oh! I have hirez shots of all these. If you see something that you'd like to see better, just lemme know!
Cody... Your tranny fluid should be okay, 'specially since you don't really have any.
In the regard that you're thinking, tranny fluid shows up in automatics, not manuals.
I hope they don't gouge you too bad for the fluid swaps... Good luck!

Nice pics and write-up Mark! Tomorrow you'll have pics of you being a "turtle".
I sent you 53 photos so it'll be hard to choose the best ones. I'm sure some will be repeats of Ben's and yours. The lady at the photo shop was impressed by what you guys were doing to your trucks.

Really sorry I wasn't able to make this one. At least I didn't say I would be there and cancel my RSVP 9 hours before the event.
Looks like you guys had a great time and got to do a little trail maintence while you were at it.

Nope, if it gets submerged, a manual tranny needs changing just like an auto. The lubricant in a manual is the same stuff as you have in your diffs and does the same job, lubrication and cooling. Water doesn't do the lubrication part of that combination very well
It's just that you don't have to worry about it screwing with the shifting like it does in an auto.

Tranny oil is fine, diffs had a little water in them but not bad, i'm gonna change the tranny fluid prolly friday, it should be fine. Other then that everything is running wonderful, once i get the couple hundred pounds of mud off it'll be back to normal.
