Later in the day though, we met up as one group and went and did some trails though... There are some good trails up there... Haha actually we went on this one that the trail was public land, but had private land on either sides and apparently the residents were growing weed back there because we were greeted by a lady standing up in the back of a jeep with a shotgun (a guy driving, we are guessing her husband) so we promptly turned around and booked it outa there... Haha kinda funny watching 20 Xterras bookin it outa the woods away from a crazy jeep lady... We later talked to the forestry people out there, and found out it isnt the first time its happened...
Ill find out what the trails we ran were, and post em up here, maybe you guys would wanna run some trails up there?

if you've been looking for an excuse to get cb, let this be it.
the first pismo 4rj i went to i had FRS, and that was just lame when most people had cb. oceano dunes is a big place and it can be easy to get lost, so being in touch by cb really helps out there.

Would it be ok to cross post this thread at T4R? If not, that's cool, I'll pm some people individually.

Note: a 2wd from the 1st trip has since converted and could be on the Con as I type.

smoka,
read over the PISMO 4RJ threads from last year and 2003. you'll find people talking about 2wds out there.
the short of it is: yes 2wds can have fun out there (airing down low and keeping momentum are especially key in 2wd), but expect to get stuck a few times.

dude, take out your 2wd, follow everyone else and see how you do! You'll have a great time even if we are pulling out out 20 times.
I was 2WD and went harder than a lot of the guys w/4WD. Its all about momentum
